1. An updated resume. Make sure you have an up to date resume with you, that you can refer to when talking about certain positions. List all your relevant skills for this particular job on the CV, up front, in bullet point form so that it's easy to see and easy for you to refer to when talking about yourself. Your interviewer may well have your resume on hand, but by referring to it yourself you can remind yourself to mention vital points that are necessary for the job.

2. Role play. Script possible questions and answers before you go for the interview. Stand in front of your mirror and role play the interview questions. You may feel silly, but the easier the answers role off your tongue, the less stressful you'll find the interview process. You'll also be more confident and come across better. 3. Appearance. Look the part. This may sound logical but you'll be surprised at how many people rock up to interviews inappropriately dressed for the position. If you're applying for a job at an animal shelter, don't wear a suit.
